Oru Vaarthai Kaekka

Many lines of this song from the movie Ayya makes me ROTFL

Nee keadaikka vendum endru thundu seetta ezhudhi poattaen
Peachi amman kovil saami, paper saami aanadhu enna!

Oh nee kodutha kal kooda senkal saami aanadhaiyya

And here comes the best line:

Katta bomman uruvam poala unnai varainthu maraithae veitthaen,
Desapattru oviyam endru veettu suvatril appa maatta

You should watch the ‘oviyam’ of ‘kattabomman-poala-Sarathkumar’ shown in this song to fully appreciate this line πŸ˜‰

What about the dance step of your favorite Nayan? Sarath will be walking, and she will be dancing. Hilarious!

Something I don’t relate too much with! But, yes, seems like lyricists have run out of stuff these days!

mm song sounds like tha-Dhana tha-Dhana Thai manasam ada Vanadhau vandahu malli vasam song.. πŸ™‚

    ( not to negate u )
otherwise i don’t known whether u come across pechi amman kind of legacy gulli side temple, temples nativity, temples myth . then lyrics sounds similar in those lines. like our traditional srirangam temple or kabalishewar temple or thirupathi temple these road side temples has it own story and lyrics is sublimed to it.

    Ref: Indira Soundarajan books
    Alayam Olugzu books
Ethu enga swamy – vikatan thodar article and separate book.
    & so on so forth..

in nut shell its like how andal felts good about renganathar, girls of that nativity very fond of these ammans. thats what Adi velli movie ran 150Days.

any ways as i sub-titled its just a information sharing feel free to defence it..

    Prabhu,
Yeah the song choreography is the one that makes it all the more funny πŸ™‚

    Sathej,
I am not sure whether you would have heard many old/new film songs. So how can you say that lyricists have run out of stuff these days? There are still quite a few songs with lovely lyrics coming out everyday. Besides, this song itself is an example of how lyricists haven’t run out of ideas. To compare Sarathkumar’s pic with Kattabomman’s is something only they can think of! πŸ˜‰

    Ranjhith,
Yeah creativity at its best πŸ˜‰ I don’t know why but I always ending up laughing whenever I see this song. Found any link between the two songs? πŸ™‚

    Nithya,
Maybe yeah we can tolerate Nayantara in this song alone πŸ™‚ I would have been surprised if you had raved about the song πŸ˜›

    Adiya,
I have heard of Amman temples, stories involving them and all.
Anyway, I enjoy the lyrics of this song. Simple lyrics πŸ™‚

    Sreekrishnan,
    Yeah LOL

    Hello Aparna,
Agreed. I lack the expertise to comment on film songs. But, I don’t see too many songs nowadays with ‘nice’ lyrics. And well, if you call the comparsion of the pic to be creativity, I wonder what next. Even not doing anything substantial is creative!

    Sathej,
When you don’t listen to film songs, how do you know that there are no songs with nice lyrics nowadays? And, your definition of nice lyrics might be different from the general viewpoint.
Besides, the lyrics of film songs are not to be taken seriously. It is written just for fun or entertainment and they should not be analyzed to see whether they are meaningful.
