Last weekend was too good! An excellent concert of Chitraveena Ravikiran on Saturday! (There’s nothing more to add to what Ram has written about the concert) I am not going to miss any concert in which M.A.Sundaresan plays the violin from now on. M.A.Sundaresan and Umayalpuram Sivaraman were the main reasons why I went to the Ravikiran’s concert. The concert had a line-up of my favourites, Reetigowlai, Vasanta (It has become my favourite recently), Surutti (No words to describe those!) and Neelambari!
Yesterday, I got to listen a Dikshitar krithi, ishAnAdishivAkAramanche in Sahana raagam, for the first time, thanks to Sai Prasad. The krithi was lovely! (Sahanavaache kaekkaNumaa
)
The only disappointment in the weekend was watching Federer lose the match.
It’s Monday today and the weather here is so pleasant. It rained in Madras! Yay! Just when I started from home, the first song that I listened to in the radio was one of my most favourites, Thee Thee! (Rahman, you are the best!
) Right now, I am listening to a wonderful Kedaragowlai by MDR! What a way to begin a week!
Hope the week remains as great as it has started! Good Morning and have a great week ahead, folks!

Hello Aparna,
Talking of a great start! Well, today afternoon, I just switched on Shruthi. I was about to have my lunch when the first words I heard were Maayamma Yani Ne – Ahiri (what a coincidence – Ahiri) being sung by TNS. I must have missed an Alapana in Ahiri as the violinist was just finishing his when I switched on! A great rendition.One thing I noticed in TNS’ rendition was he rendered the entire Charanam. Most people I have heard so far sing only one line of it! Indeed, it seems a great week ahead!

I was listening to AR’s “Sakhiye nee than Thunaye” from Anthimandhaarai when it rained! : )
, Hopefully the combination does another concert together..!
Reetigowlai and Vasanta in one concert should have been a moment that too by all these maestros! Pretty bad miss for me, this one…

Seems like a wonderful concert..reethigowlai,vasantha and surutti sound too tempting[:)]. And reg Nadal..well how many ever french opens he wins, Federer is still going to remain #1. I like them both..as long as we get to see such quality games, who cares who wins. And ishAnAdi is a beautifulllllll krithi. I have been consumed by it ever since i heard it..perhaps the best sahAna ever!!>–
